CANEY CREEK CHEER CELEBRATES STATE CHAMPIONSHIP WIN AT ARTAVIA

The Caney Creek High School Cheerleading team held their year-end awards banquet and celebration for winning the State Championship at the ARTAVIA community Gathering Room.

Early 2024, ARTAVIA Development Company supported the team with a donation to send the team to State, as well as the NCA National Championships. The ARTAVIA Community Council was pleased to be able to also step up and assist the Caney Creek Co-Ed Cheerleading Team by providing a venue for them to celebrate their State Championship WIN. This is the first time the school has won this prestigious title and the coaches wanted the celebration and awarding of the rings to be a special celebration. The team and their supporters had engaged in fundraising to ensure that every team member would have a Championship ring.

“Thank you for being such an integral part of our program’s success over the last few years! Our athletes have signed to continue cheering at many universities and are seeing success far beyond the competitions which is our ultimate goal for the program. Their exposure to coaches and college teams at these events have been extremely impactful and life changing,” said Coach Janel Jackson from Caney Creek High School in Conroe ISD.
The ARTAVIA Community Council was able to offer the team event space for their celebration at no cost to the team through the Councils “Community Outreach Program”. This program supports the Council’s core pillar of Giving Back to the wider community, in this case, Conroe ISD.

ARTAVIA Community Council is a separate non-profit organization within ARTAVIA. It is tasked with establishing relationships and connections between our homeowners as well as enhancing community interaction with the wider local environment. The guiding principles of the organization are driven by 5 pillars – Healthy Living, Connecting, Arts and Culture, Lifelong Learning, and Giving Back.
