SPRING BREAK FUN IN CONROE, TX

Believe it or not, spring break is fast approaching. This year, the Conroe Independent School District will observe spring break from March 13-17.

Camps for Kids

Cordovan Art School Spring Break Camp

The Cordovan Art School hosts a Spring Break Arts Camp for children ages 5-12 years. Budding artists learn many things including how to create cartoon characters (like Pixar, Pokémon and others), draw furry friends and develop Minecraft-oriented projects.

Camp Fun Quest

The Conroe Parks & Recreation Department’s Camp Fun Quest is a camp that packs indoor and outdoor recreational activities into a fun-filled week. Some camps also include swimming and/or field trips.

Animals

East Texas Elephant Experience

7 Acre Wood

Billed as “an old-fashioned family fun park that kids love,” the 7 Acre Wood offers a petting zoo. Other activities include a western play town, large playground and gigantic sandbox, zip line, miniature golf, a puppet house and more.

Museums

Play Street Museum

As its name suggests, the Play Street Museum offers a safe and imaginative indoor area for kids to play – and to have fun! Children have the opportunity to explore multiple interactive exhibits, including a small downtown square. On March 17, the museum will host ShamROCK and ROLL, where children can make their own green slime.

The Woodlands Children’s Museum

This venue is a day-long fun-fest for children, as they explore oceans, practice life skills and dig for dino “artifacts!” The museum educates through entertainment, while offering plenty of hands-on, tactile experiences, while indulging in creative play and learning.

Heritage Montgomery Museum

Learn all about the history of Montgomery County with a day visit to this fascinating, informative museum. Three permanent exhibits including the area’s history (from prehistoric times to Lake Conroe’s development).
